Kristen M. Jensen, Our Wonderful Author, Illustrator, & Domestic Goddess
Kristen is the thread that holds her family together. She leads through love and example. She is an author, illustrator, and proofreader. She has an expanding portfolio of illustrations and children’s books are her genre.
Her love of children’s books started in college and through her children’s lives. She now brings that love to you through her many characters and subjects.
She enjoys crafts, sewing, painting, drawing, and reading cookbooks, though she reads more than that. She also loves to cook and bake. Her homemade biscuits and gravy, alfredo, and fresh bread are to die for. That is just the tip of the iceberg of what she makes.
She sews and sells custom bunnies for friends and clients. She loves to garden and wishes for when she can live on a homestead like when she was younger. Now she is a city girl and finds contentment in her container garden and herb garden.
Being an Author and Illustrator is my Life
From a young age she has always loved books. She got into art in high school and children’s books in college. That is where her love began. As she was raising her children her love of children’s books increased, but it would take many years before she would gain the courage to make her own.
Now, with her children grown she has the time to write and illustrate books for herself and others. Her most recent book is The “Naughty” Monster and the “Nice” Monster. This book was authored and illustrated by Kristen. More books are coming including: The “Sir Fluffkins Series,” “My Digestive Tract,” “Gramma’s Eyes,” and “Mommy, I’m Sick.” She also has a novella called “The MacPherson Curse.”
She also illustrated two of her friend’s books. “How Do Butterflies Earn Their Wings?” and “Max and the Potty,” are just the tip of the iceberg. She hopes to help even more people achieve their dreams of becoming authors too.
